Identities of Chengyu provides an introduction to the concept of chengyu, 4-character Chinese idioms, through design. It utilizes scenes from notable movies to give context to the various chengyu provided in the zine. Readers are encouraged to explore the layers of meaning behind each page, or to simply enjoy the visual motifs of Chinese typography.
